Use cases

Real problems. Plain results.

These are the kinds of jobs we do most weeks, written out in full so you can see how we think. Every one is based on real work — but names, addresses, logos and any identifying details have been removed to protect our clients' privacy. The situations and outcomes are genuine.

Hospitality A multi-venue cafe & restaurant group

The situation

A growing food group ran several busy venues. Each site had been set up by a different person over the years, so nothing matched. At peak times the card machines and online booking screen would freeze, queues built up, and staff were rebooting modems mid-service. Nobody could say who looked after what, and one bad week meant lost takings the owners never got back.

What we deployed

  • One standard, business-grade network build rolled out to every venue
  • WiFi that reaches the whole floor, with guest, staff and payment traffic kept on separate lanes
  • A backup internet connection at each site, so a line fault doesn't stop the tills
  • CCTV and VoIP phones brought under the same roof and the same support number
  • 24/7 monitoring so we see a site struggling before the manager has to call

The result

No more peak-time dropouts. Payments and bookings stay up through the Friday-night rush. Every venue now works the same way, new sites open faster because there's a proven recipe, and staff have one number to call for anything — network, cameras or phones.

  • Uptime through peak trade
  • One consistent build across sites
  • One team, one bill, one number
Professional services An accounting firm, around 40 staff

The situation

A well-run firm handling sensitive client finances had grown fast, but their security hadn't kept up. Staff logged in with just a password, old accounts of people who'd left were still active, and a convincing "invoice" email nearly tricked a partner into paying a scammer. When we asked "how safe are you right now?", nobody could answer — it was a feeling, not a fact.

What we deployed

  • Multi-factor login across every account, so a stolen password isn't enough on its own
  • A clean-up of old and unused accounts, and tighter control over who can access what
  • Advanced filtering to catch phishing and fake-invoice emails before they land
  • Automatic, tested off-site backups of email and files
  • A measured Microsoft security score, tracked over time, with a short plan to keep raising it

The result

Their security score moved from "at risk" to "strong." The fake-invoice emails now get stopped at the door, every login is protected, and the directors get a one-page report they actually understand — turning "I hope we're safe" into "here's exactly how safe we are."

  • Phishing & invoice scams blocked
  • Every account protected by MFA
  • Security you can measure, not guess
Property & strata A multi-storey apartment building

The situation

An apartment block needed its building security brought into this decade. The old intercom was patchy, cameras in the car park and lobby had blurry night footage that was useless when something happened, and residents' entry fobs were a mess to manage. Several contractors had touched it over the years, and none of it talked to each other.

What we deployed

  • A modern intercom to every apartment, so residents can see and let in visitors
  • Clear day-and-night CCTV across entries, lobby, car park and common areas
  • A recorder sized to keep footage for as long as the building committee needs
  • Fob-based door access that's simple to add and remove as residents change
  • The building network behind it all, installed and supported by the same team

The result

The committee finally has footage that's actually usable — clear, time-stamped and easy to pull when needed. Residents get a modern intercom, managing fobs takes minutes instead of a service call, and there's one company responsible for the whole system instead of four who point at each other.

  • Clear night-time footage that holds up
  • Simple fob & access management
  • One accountable installer & support team
Fitness & franchise A multi-site gym group

The situation

A gym group was opening new locations, but every site was a fresh headache — different internet, different WiFi, member check-in and door access that dropped out, and no clear way to see what was happening across the sites. When something broke at one club, the owner found out from an angry member, not from their IT.

What we deployed

  • A single "site in a box" network standard used at every new club opening
  • Reliable WiFi and internet, with a backup line so 24/7 access keeps working
  • Member systems, check-in and door access all kept online and monitored
  • CCTV across the gym floor, viewable by the owner from a phone
  • Central 24/7 monitoring, so we spot an outage at any club before members do

The result

New clubs now open on a proven, repeatable setup instead of starting from scratch. Member access and check-in stay reliable around the clock, the owner can see every site from one place, and problems get caught and fixed before they turn into complaints.

  • Faster, repeatable club openings
  • Reliable 24/7 member access
  • One view across every site
